Inspired by the need for a minimalist and efficient storage solution for vinyl records, the Jurevicius brothers embarked on a design journey that led to the creation of the VRH12. After numerous sketches and prototypes, they achieved a design that perfectly meets the needs of vinyl enthusiasts.
The VRH12 stands out for its raw, minimalist, and industrial design. It strips down functionality to its bare essentials, focusing on fine-crafted edging detail and professional paint-work. The design is a testament to the brothers' dedication to creating a product that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
The VRH12 is made from 4mm mild steel, a material choice that was the result of extensive research and testing. The brothers experimented with timber, acrylic, and aluminium before settling on mild steel for its superior weight balance. The final product is a single piece of mild steel that embodies the concept of minimalist design.
The VRH12 is a floor or table standing item, making it a versatile addition to any space. It measures 52cm in length, 33cm in height, and 33cm in depth, and weighs 6kg. The design project began in London in 2016 and was completed in early 2017.
The VRH12 is more than just a vinyl record holder; it's a testament to the power of design and innovation. It's a product that not only meets a practical need but also adds a touch of style to any interior. It's no wonder that this design was awarded the Silver A' Furniture Design Award in 2018, a prestigious accolade that recognizes top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs.
